Berith Wallace Keith, 97, passed away on October 20, 2010 at Talladega Healthcare Center and Rehab Select Facility, Talladega, AL. She was born in Scottsboro, Alabama on October 10, 1913. Member of Larkinsville Methodist Church for over 80 years; in the last six years she has attended First Baptist Church in Huntsville and Munford Baptist Church in Munford , AL while staying with her children in those locations. She understood hard work, growing up on a farm. She worked for many years for several retail establishments in Scottsboro--finally retiring at age 83. She was active in Senior Centers in Munford and Scottsboro.

Survived by daughter Berith Marie Keith McClendon and husband Frank D. McClendon; son James Cecil Keith and wife Sallie Moore Keith; five grandchildren and their spouses as follows: Renae McClendon Pruitt and husband Steve Pruitt, Keith McClendon and wife Ana McClendon, Kent McClendon and wife Joom McClendon, Selena Keith Stanton and husband Bill Stanton, and Ryan Keith and wife Dana Daly Keith; great grandchildren and spouses: Matthew Pruitt and wife Rebecca Pruitt, Amber Pruitt, Anna Pruitt, Ashley Pruitt and Angie Pruitt, Tyler McClendon, Joshua Stanton, Jennifer Stanton, Kaitlyn Stanton, Andrew Keith and Trevor Keith. One great-great-granddaughter: Bithia Pruitt, daughter of Matthew and Rebecca Pruitt. Survived by sister Fannie Kate Wallace Breland and husband R. A. Breland; by brother John Will Wallace, Jr. and wife Clara Mae Hall Wallace and brother James Bob Wallace and wife Burma Morgan Wallace. and sister-in-laws Eunice Wynn Wallace--wife of Jeff David Wallace and Opal Henshaw Wallace--wife of Wayne Wallace.

She was preceded in death by her husband Matthew James Keith; parents John Will Wallace and Maude Smart Wallace. Also preceded in death by Octavia Wallace and J. B. Wynn, Annie Maude Wallace Breland and Jim Breland; Jeff David Wallace, Pryor and Jewell Hall Wallace, Wayne Wallace, David Brooks Wallace and Mary Lou Evans Wallace.
She had many nieces and nephews from this very large family; she cherished them all..

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 A.M. at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles McKay officiating. Interment will follow in Larkinsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-9 at the funeral home.
