Emma Lou Dean, 84, of Skyline, Alabama passed away Saturday January 1, 2011.
She is survived by her husband of over 66 years, Arnold Dean of Skyline, AL; daughters Pat ( Jerry) Carter of Hazel Green, AL, Brenda ( Roger) Carter of Scottsboro, AL, and Teresa ( Gary) Gilliland of Paducah, KY; sons Gary ( Robin) Dean of Woodville, TX, Michael ( Kathy) Dean of Section, AL, Kevin ( Shelly) Dean of Nashville, TN, and Gaylen ( Nina) Dean of Skyline, AL; fourteen grandchildren Jason, Clinton, Melinda, and Daniel Carter, Kristi Wells, Lee, Will, Christopher, Jeremy, Aaron, and Edward Dean, Emery Stutesman, and Eric and Matthew Gilliland; seven great-grandchildren Ashlee Carter, Latham Wells, Anita and Josiah Gilliland, Emily and Zachary Stutesman, and Ryan McKee; brothers Walker ( Bobbie), Lester ( Arlene), and Mark ( Carolyn) Latham; sisters Grace ( Floyd) Reynolds, Ethel ( Leon) Fricks, Judy Latham, and Gladys Travis; sisters-in-law Mary Ruth Latham and Kris Latham and
numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by parents Sadie and Bent Latham; brothers Rayford “Doc”, Gordon, Raymond, Hugh, and Walter Latham; and sister Maggie Gattis.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday January 4, 2011 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Elder Mark Haynes and Rev. Jerome Dean officiating with burial to follow at Skyline Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday January 3, 2011 at Scottsboro Funeral Home 5—9:00 PM.
