Mrs. Veda Lou Keasling Ledwell of Scottsboro passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at her residence. She was 90.

She is survived by her daughters; Jeanette (Edward) Thompson of Section, Alabama, Loretta (the late Jerry) Cofield of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Virginia (Billy Ray) Smart of Stevenson, Alabama, and Wanda (Luther Jr.) Dolberry of Scottsboro, Alabama. 13 Grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. Special friend; Gracie Ledwell of Scottsboro, Alabama, several half-brothers and half-sisters from West Tennessee to Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband; William Kermit “Bill” Ledwell, son; Kenneth Ledwell, grandson; Jessie Ledwell, granddaughters; Melanie and Kathy Ledwell. Brothers; Robert and Emmett Keasling, several half-brothers and sisters. Parents; Edgar Etheridge and Nannie Lee Keasling.

Pallbearers will be Alan Smart, Brian Wayne Smart, Roger Carl Smart, Kip Brown, Paul Thompson, and Eric Scoggins.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 2 P.M. at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Pace officiating. Interment will follow in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 10, 2010 from 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
